Show gardens ...

I have produced a number of show gardens locally at the Chiltern Show and Bucks County Show. My collaboration with Chris and Clare Hodges at the Bucks County show has twice won the Lord Carrington Award for Trade stands.

In 2002 as part of our Design course our year group entered a garden called A Child's Eye View in the Courtyard Gardens section at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. It was a great success and our Aylesbury team won Gold, Best in Category and the BBC/RHS Peoples Award.
The garden was designed with the help of children in the 7-9 age group and contained a secret door, willow den, shallow water course.

This year Kati Crome and I created A Postcard from Wales together with our builders Ron Pocock and landscaper J&S Scapes in the Artisan gardens section, we won Gold and enjoyed a fantastic week of sunshine, a rarity for Chelsea! Comments about the garden were fantastic with people making a beeline for the garden as they arrived. Our Welsh garden used all natural materials including homemade driftwood fences, recycled slate roof tiles, local Pennant Blue stone, a "pallet" bridge, cockleshell edgings and hundreds of plants most of which we had grown from bulb or plug plant.
